About the Trust

The Joan Purves Art Trust was established to manage Trust funds which will be used to award the prize each year and to oversee the awarding of the prize in accordance with the rules of the Trust Deed.

The Trust is currently managed by three Trustees appointed to the Trust.

The main purpose of the Trust is to ensure the awarding of the $2,500 cash prize of the Joan Purves Encouragement Prize each year in perpetuity, and that its assets are prudently managed in accordance with the Trust Deed.
